Relief-Link Aid (RLA) was established in 2018 by a dedicated team of Somali professionals. Originally a non-profit community-
based organization, RLA has evolved into a non-governmental organization (Local NGO) operating across Somalia- Kenya,
and is also registered in Ethiopia. Founded and managed by multinational professionals from the Horn of Africa region, RLA
has expanded its mission with the backing of inter-governmental relations within the Horn of Africa, focusing on achieving the
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This transformation underscores RLA’s commitment to addressing pressing socio-
economic challenges through collaborative efforts in the region.

To ensure the effectiveness of its programs, RLA adopts a comprehensive approach centred on promoting sustainable
development and self-sufficiency among rural populations. This includes emergency health interventions, WASH initiatives,
and livelihood enhancement programs crucial for community advancement. RLA also addresses cross-cutting issues like
gender equality, governance, and peace building through targeted training and capacity-building activities.
Supporting initiatives like canal construction, provision of agricultural inputs, and technical guidance on cropping systems.
RLA also facilitates alternative livelihoods through micro-finance and micro-credit options, enhances crop and livestock production, and rehabilitates rural infrastructure such as feeder roads and water catchments.
Enhancing educational facilities through construction and rehabilitation projects, installing water systems and pit latrines in schools, implementing WASH programs, providing incentives to teachers, and supplying learning materials. RLA also supports school feeding programs to ensure children receive adequate nutrition for learning.
Prioritizing Maternal Neonatal and Child Health (MNCH), integrating awareness campaigns on gender-based violence (GBV), peace building, and conflict resolution. RLA emphasizes gender mainstreaming, protection measures, and training to strengthen community health resilience.
The program is geared towards eradicating conflicts among the communities and fosters better community co-existence through capacity building of key stakeholders on conflicts resolution and managements, management of natural resources etc
Providing life-saving aid such as relief food, safe drinking water, and sanitation solutions to
vulnerable groups during crises.
